Leader of the opposition Ed Miliband has today drawn criticism for reportedly, ’roundly booing’ his nieces Year 3 production of ‘Joseph and his Technicolor Dreamcoat’.
The Labour Leader – a notoriously prickly theatre goer – claimed afterwards, ‘the housing crisis that the brothers face is endemic of housing today under the Conservative government’.
‘When you see Joseph living in a palace, it becomes clear that something needs to be done. The government should ensure that housing is available to his brothers by taxing Joseph – clearly the owner of an extremely expensive house. His brothers should be helped back on their feet, although no more than that’.
Miliband’s actions have, not for the first time, been pounced upon by members of his own party. ‘The thing Mr Miliband must remember, is that living in the capital, the prices of many of the houses might be unfairly inflated due to their location’ said a Scottish MP.
A member of the shadow cabinet added, ‘It may be a good idea to recognise that a tax on the rich is perhaps not quite as black and white as Mr Miliband seems to suggest that it is’.
Prominent MP, Harriet Harman simply said, ‘Personally, I don’t think it was wise of him to mention the brothers. I think we all know that was a mistake’.
